Duration
3 months
This is a portfolio concept project created to explore mobile app design patterns for health and fitness applications. Not a commissioned project.

Challenge
71% of gym members quit within 3 months because progress feels invisible. Weight alone is a poor motivator. Paper records get lost easily. Personal trainers spend too much time manually recording client measurements. And there's no simple existing tool for tracking full-body measurements over time with visual progress.
The core challenge was designing an app that makes progress visible, reduces friction in data entry, and builds motivation through gamification — without overwhelming users

Goal
Design a simple, fast measurement entry experience that allows users to log full-body measurements in under 60 seconds — with automatic progress visualization and achievement rewards that build lasting habits.
Make progress visible through 'Victory Graphs', reduce friction in data entry, introduce gamification to increase consistency, and create a scalable design system for future feature expansion.

Solution
I designed 7 core screens solving the full measurement tracking journey — from rapid data entry to progress visualization to gamified achievement tracking. The app transforms invisible progress into a visual story that keeps users motivated.
By creating an interactive body diagram for measurement input, Victory Graphs showing progress over time, weekly streaks, and achievement badges — the app removes friction and adds motivation at every step.

Results
Through this design exploration, I created a complete measurement tracking app with a focus on reducing friction and building habit through thoughtful visual design.

Reflection
This concept project deepened my understanding of mobile fitness app design and user motivation. The most important insight I discovered was this: visibility drives consistency.
People quit fitness when progress feels invisible, not from lack of discipline. Victory Graphs let users celebrate weekly wins. Reduced friction with tap-to-measure entry instead of forms. Gamification supports core value — seeing progress. Built with scalability for future trainer features and analytics. Design visibility, motivation follows.
